When and where are the games played?
All games will be played on September 22nd on campus on the outdoor Village Green Courts. Games will run from 12.00pm to 6.00pm, estimates are Men’s Social 12-3pm, Mixed 12-3pm, Men’s Competitive 3-6pm, Men’s Elite, 3-6pm and Women’s 3-6pm, with exact category times determined by total nominations in each category. There will also be a post tournament social event from 7.00pm at the UNSW Roundhouse for competitors.
How does it work?
Teams have three or four players and will play a minimum of four games and a maximum of five games. All games will be played under FIBA 3×3 rules but using a size 7 basketball in all categories except Elite and Women’s who will use a 3×3 basketball.
The tournament will have a range of divisions to cater for various skill levels:
Men’s Elite – Representative basketball or similar level experience
Men’s Competitive – Consistent mid to higher level local competition, youth representative or private school 1st experience
Men’s Social – Local competition, playground or social experience
Women’s – All experience levels but more towards the competitive end in comparison to Mixed Social.
Mixed Social – Local competition, playground or social experience, all welcome but games will be more social in nature.
What does it cost?
Team entry is $85 per team for non-UNSW students and $65 per team for UNSW student teams (must have two current UNSW students).
